Learning and Growth Opportunities for your Christian Journey

Moms and Beyond

Moms and Beyond is a mentoring experience based on Titus 2:3-5 that brings moms with children together for the purpose of growing personally and spiritually. The goal is to share practical, scriptural insights on how to pursue God's priorities concerning your husband, children, home, walk with the Lord, and ministry. Each week the group meets as a large group for a period before splitting into small groups led by mentor moms.

Moms and Beyond will be covering a Priscilla Shirer video series called Discerning the Voice of God; How to Recognize When God Speaks. Through 7 sessions, discover the root to clear and daily communication with God—humble obedience. Learn how surrender unlocks His many blessings intended for us, centers us in His will and helps us discern His voice in everyday life. Followed by a Chip Ingram video series called The Real God: How He Longs for You to See Him. We will see God in a whole new light and discover that our view of God impacts every decision in our lives. It will change the way we pray, the way we live, and the way we think about the world around us.

Tuesday mornings 9am - 11:30am at the Woodmoor Campus of The Ascent Church, room 213. Study begins January 16, 2018.

A Woman's Heart, God's Dwelling Place

Perhaps no Old Testament event so dramatically illustrates God's persistent desire to relate to His children as the building of the tabernacle in the wilderness. Through the tabernacle God initiated a deeper relationship with His Chosen People by bringing reconciliation and revealing His glory. And certainly, no Old Testament event so richly prefigures the coming of the true Tabernacle, Jesus Christ. You will be challenged to prepare your heart, like the holy of holies, to become a home for His love and glory — a dwelling place for the Most High God. Written by Beth Moore.

An 11-week study on Tuesday mornings, from January 16–April 10, 2018 (no class 3/27). Facilitated by Carolyn Neher.

Life: In Christ

Women’s lives today can be hectic with demands coming from all directions. Jesus says in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”  How do we live that full, abundant life that Jesus came to give us? Why do so many women feel isolated, lonely and overwhelmed? This class will study different scriptures that help us connect to God and to one another. We will cover a series of biblical topics throughout the year including: names of God, personal holy habits, family life and life on mission. Please join us! Each evening will include class teaching and time in small groups. Led by Maria Peterson, class begins January 11th. Sign up required for child care.

Neighborhood Bible Studies

Women meet together for encouragement and fellowship in each of the geographic regions. These are opportunities to connect with those who live in your neighborhood and are a great way to introduce your neighbors to others who can encourage their spiritual growth.
