The Ascent Children's Ministry partners with parents to instill God's Word into the lives of our kids. We value the opportunity for building a foundation of faith and give parents the tools to become the primary spiritual leader in the home. Our desire is for kids to move from childhood beliefs to lifetime faith.
TINY TOWN (Birth-Pre K)
A loving and nurturing ministry is provided during all services every Sunday of the year. Your child is special to us and we want his or her first impressions of church to be a positive one as they begin to learn about the love of Jesus.
ADVENTURE QUEST (K-4th Grade)
On Sundays we explore scripture chronologically while keeping God at the center of every lesson. Children become familiar with the Bible timeline, the redemptive story of Jesus and how we can each be a part of the Big God Story. Leaders create space for children to hear from the Holy Spirit and respond to Him during quite moments. Our morning also includes fun and engaging learning environments through hands on, age appropriate activities that reinforce the main Bible point of the day.
ELEVATE (5th-6th Grade)
Elevate is designed specifically for 5th & 6th graders who are in a stage of transition from the elementary to teenage years. Our team of Elevate leaders desire to come alongside students as they grow in their walk with the Lord. We strive to create an environment where this age group can learn biblical truths, develop their own faith and strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this by partnering with parents, the primary spiritual leaders in the home and equipping leaders and parents to fulfill God's word by teaching His truths. Elevate meets during all service times.
*Safety is a priority in Children's Ministry. All staff and volunteers go through an application process and background screening.
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” (Psalm 127:3, ESV) In gratitude for God's gift of children and for parents to dedicate their parenting for the Lord's purpose, public Child Dedications occur in October and in the spring. The next Child Dedication will be held in the fall of 2017.
